My name is John “JD” Hallam and I am the rental manager at the Purple Parrot Village Resort in Perdido Key, Florida. First off, I would love to extend our warmest welcome to you this upcoming winter season! If you have not yet been to Perdido Key, we are located between Pensacola and Orange Beach as a 257 acre snowbird haven barrier island. Our community is a little more laid back than the Destin or Gulf Shores area in that the spring-breaker nightlife scene has not yet made its way onto our little piece of paradise.The Purple Parrot Village Resort is a gated resort community dotted with free standing two story condos each with its own memorable name. We are not a high-rise complex, but rather a gathering of 114 individual condos encircling a 5,000 square foot/150,000 gallon outdoor pool complete with waterfall cave and bridge accessible island Jacuzzi. Typically our winter guests do not use the outdoor pool until we get into March, so to accommodate for the cooler months we have a heated indoor pool house facility including a new fitness center, Jacuzzi, two saunas, restroom showers, etc. Please feel free to visit our Amenities page to see some pictures from this year of the grounds, amenities and nearby Johnson Beach National Seashore.In the years following Hurricane Ivan (2004) we were undergoing our long-term restoration and finished in early 2007. We are eager to have our winter guests back at the Purple Parrot and therefore we are offering the best Perdido Key Snowbird Special in the area! We enjoy the company of our winter guests throughout the early seasons, therefore the winter season special has been set up to eliminate seasonal rate increases and extend our winter rate through the month of March (usually spring season rates) for those who reserve January through March 2009. I have included a rate rundown for anyone interested below for one, one+loft, two, suites and three bedroom rental condos.
